Just Released! Wild Fate

Wild Fate, my newest novella released June 1st, is a story from the Dreamspinner Press 2016 Daily Dose package "A Walk on the Wild Side."

This is the first paranormal gay romance I've written, and I have to say it was certainly a lot of fun. While most of what I've written and published is contemporary romance, I have a desire to spread my wings and cross into other genres while still keeping male/male romance at the heart of my stories. In the future, I hope to add a some historical, western, and a romance comedy by brain's been cooking up for a while.

For now, I give you Wild Fate.

Caden Wells is finally on his way to the Alaskan wilderness, fulfilling a dream he’s had since he was a boy. He’s looking forward to solitary hikes and photographing wildlife. Upon arrival, he’s drawn to his guide’s brother, Drake Fisher, a man who resembles beast more than man. Drake’s unexpected interest surprises Caden, but when Drake claims fate has brought them together and that he’s a shapeshifter, Caden’s confusion turns to shock.

With the help of Drake’s brother, Dean, and Dean’s family, Caden realizes there must be some truth to Drake’s story. On his way to question Drake, the knowledge in his heart that something is wrong is confirmed by reports of poachers in the area. Caden sets out to save Drake, along with the life and love that have been waiting for him in Alaska all along.

My Thoughts on Broken...

It's about healing, love, and family...

It took me a while to finally release the second book of the Troubled Hearts series, but I wanted to make sure I got it right. Hopefully, I did.

Broken touches on a few difficult topics that many people never have to deal with: kids growing up in foster care, teen suicide, rape, verbal abuse from family members who object to their children being gay, and the psychological pain that comes from being physically different. I tried not to skim over them too lightly; they are serious topics. But I also didn't want to weigh the story down with too much pain. I wanted this story to be more about finding love and family and the healing that comes with them. I wanted Lucas to grow up a little and fight for what was important to him. I wanted Jordan to see what was right in front of him. I wanted both of them to have faults and find acceptance in each other. I hope I delivered.

If you have a few hours, I hope you'll take a chance and read Lucas and Jordan's story. I'd also love to hear what you think if you do. In the meantime, I'm working on a few more, though I've yet to decide which story will be the third in the series.

Until next time...

Love,
Savannah

Broken

Lucas Dougherty has everything money can buy, including all the one-night-stands a guy in his mid-twenties could ever want, but it’s not what he wants. He wants someone to see him, not his money. He wants a guy to share his life with. He wants a family. He wants love. Only he’s never been good with relationships. As a matter of fact, he destroys them. All the men in his family do.

Jordan Quinn has always been different, and it has nothing to do with being gay. Scarred physically and emotionally, he’s spent the last ten years focused on his career and helping foster kids in order to bury his personal issues. He’s even avoided dating, convinced no man will ever be able to love and accept him as he is.

A change in routine lands them both in the same cafĂ© at the same time and leads to a subsequent “non-date” where they both find themselves drawn to each other in ways neither ever imagined. They both laugh off Jordan’s refusal to give in to Lucas’ ongoing requests for a date until an ill-timed kiss threatens to end their relationship before it’s even started.

Lucas breaks every relationship he touches. Jordan is broken in ways no one can ever fix. Perhaps, with patience, love, and a significant amount of trust, they can find their missing pieces in each other and come out whole on the other side.

Broken, the second book in the Troubled Hearts Series, releasing April 2016.
